MatchFuzee
Interesting post but not conclusive:- http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/airborne-special-forces/airborne-wheelbarrow-73951/
Ian L
The wheels & axles have quick release clips inside and the hub nuts have lashing eyes. Also its deceptively very light for its size which goes along with it being some sort of airborne trolley ?
Packhow75
I have some thing similar... But folding with canvas bucket not wire. Will find some pics sometime. Tim
Griffo
Looks like a laundry trolley from a hospital, the tyres may have a data stamp on them?? Dave
Ian L
Looks like a laundry trolley from a hospital, the tyres may have a data stamp on them?? Dave Hi Dave thats what I originally thought but why make it so light and flimsy with lashing loops on the hubs, quick release wheels and dark green paint ? Griffo
Hi Ian, I was also thinking it could be used for picking parachutes up off the battlefield???? Dave
Ian L
Hi Ian, I was also thinking it could be used for picking parachutes up off the battlefield???? Dave Hi Dave that was one of my original thoughts too but surely they would just discard them on the battlefield or collect them in a 15cwt for instance ? juries still out at the moment I think ? Runflat
Sorry Tim, no I don't have any more (it was me that found the picture for Ian). Follow though the link at the second post and there's a reference to similar trials in the 1950s...
