commander Posted October 16, 2014 Share Posted October 16, 2014 Foxfield Steam Railway have confirmed the dates 15th/16th /17th May 2015 as the "War Wheels Military Vehicle Rally Weekend". The same as last year Friday the 15th May will be club members and guests only and the general public on the Saturday and the Sunday. There will be a 20% discount in the bar and canteen, showers and toilets on site will be open 24hrs a day plus free camping and rail passes for the weekend will be available for all those taking part hopefully we will have the BBQ going again setting up from Thursday onwards all welcome Commander Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

commander Posted November 23, 2014 Author Share Posted November 23, 2014 A quick update of what is happening, we currently are looking into doing a battle scenario any help appreciated and also we are making enquiries about using the field opposite as a landing strip for light aircraft one of our members want's to land his WW2 spotter plane and join in the fun rather than just do fly pasts, we also making enquiries about getting some traders interested in coming along there, Foxfield railway have a working locomotive that went over to Normandy after DDAY in WW2 and was landed on the coast which should be on display for further updates watch this space Commander Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
