British Sherman in a film. Real serial number?

Just curiosity. Saw a (Firefly?) - sorry I'm not up on armour, in a film on the box last night. Supposedly in Korea, but it was filmed in the US going by the end credits, so I assume it was just a US based vehicle. The tank was ostensibly from a British unit and it had a post war style serial number/registration on it. Wondered if by chance it was a genuine 'borrowed' one (marking) - 00 ZR 94 , or a Hollywood invention? Anyone have a list with this number on?

I think 00ZR94 was a Centurion. Shermans were in 62ZR20 to 65ZR89, 43ZV89 to 43ZV97 and 15ZV86 to 20ZV27. Not all of these may have been Shermans and there may be other numbers.

Thanks Adrian. Made up number then! I know just enough about armour to recognise the basic differences between the two types :embarrassed:, just that the gun was a bigger one (75mm) - making me think Firefly. Result! and so quick

The number group 00ZR01 to 03ZR76 was allocated to Centurions, and the following number, 00ZR95 was a Cent MkV.
