I have been asked to post the following on the forum.

A GMC Bolster Truck has been stolen from the public carpark at the Hop Farm.. The truck was owned by a member of the Red Bull Express group.. I don't have a photo of it at the moment but it was a prize winner at last years show.

Their other vehicles have also been Cherry Picked, a gas firing 50cal is missing along with a number of other items. The chap I have spoken to is making an inventory of missing items which I will post up later.

They realise their mistake in leaving their vehicles unattended in the public carpark so there is no need to go into that here. Their remaining vehicles have now been moved back into the Hop Farm near my kit so I will be able to keep an eye on them until they are picked up.

I took the photo below at 3:45pm yesterday & as you can see the truck has already been taken.

What makes this worse this is clearly one of our own that has done this, they know exactly what they wanted, they even tried to get a light of one of the halftaracks & the bonnets have been lifted.

Anyone with any information please PM me & I will pass it on

That's very depressing to read, let's hope it is recovered, will share Jacks FB post on it.

Good man Bernard - I am getting 'shares' on FB now - have asked for it to be 'shared' around the world - hopefully it will tighten the net.

Hi Lee I did not see that GMC yesterday when I came down to see you about 12.00. However I did see a lowloader traveling down seven mile lane, towards the M20 about 10.45 that morning

Well I hope they find it soon and hang the b***s. When they get it back they might like to fit one of these for £300 (no monthly fee) www.visionairegps.co.uk That way you will know where it is at all times even if they cut the power or winch it onto another truck. viewed from any smartphone or computer

Really bad news sorry to hear of the losses, is it worth putting something on Milweb or at least let them know in case somebody tries to sell them through it. No doubt we will all be checking this and eBay.

All details passed on to good friends in Belgium, they have a lot of contacts around Europe so fingers crossed they hear something.

It is a real shame people can not respect how much time and money people put into this hobby, that they often get nothing from other than knowing they are preserving history.(huge fuel bills, great friends and permagrins included).

These people ruin it for everyone and if they where found ........................ well i shall not wright how i think they should be found and or dealt with as this is a family forum.

Best of luck in getting the kit and truck back, am over Europe in the summer eyes will be on the lookout.

Sounds like some have attended the show with the sole intention of pilfering, they must have a buyer because being in the know and being selective means they know all eyes will hit the usual sites, specialist kit to try and hawk on car boot sales!
