I think the oval one is British, as found on the MWC and Morris Commercial, but this one has the squared-off sides I associate with the Canadian C15A and F15A Chevrolet and Ford. HubbyHumber Posted April 27, 2012 Share Posted April 27, 2012 According to one of my books, it is a FV2401B - Trailer, Water (1 tonne if the Mk3, or originally 1 ton). The mark 3 was in service into the 1980's, but they were originally a 1950's 1 ton post war trailer carrying 200 gals of water. Your photo shows it with the same size and type of wheels as the 1 ton 1950's humber, which are the original type. The Mk 3 trailer was manufactured by either GKN Sankey, or Brockhouse (as I believer were the Mk 1 and Mk 2), with equipment by Thompson Tankers Ltd, Bilston, West Midlands. Unladen weight is quoted as 1.45 tonne and laden weight as 2.36 tonne. When restored would look very good behind a 1 ton Humber!
