Hello, I have aFoden 6x6 with a Rolls Eagle 305 engine, where is the diesel lift pump? it ran out of fuel even though there is plenty in the tank, took the fuel filter off and it was almost empty of fuel! so either a pump problem or airleak, so i know where the injector pump is and behind it is the upside down fuel filter that screws on to a housing that is attached to the engine block so where is the pump and it,s priming lever? Cheers Mark

I had the same problem with a crusader some 290/305 rolls I took the fuel pipe off the tank put an electric injection pump to the supply line powers it up and just turned it over with 3 injectors cracked ,, worked well within a min it was running , i found them near impossible to blead with the std lift pump.

Might seem stupid but make sure lift pump is off the cam when bleeding e g getting full stroke. Ran F70 chassis for 5 years had to be primed if left for more than 24 hr but only used to prime with lift pump until went tight unless of course run out of fuel then full bleed done. Scammell drops chassis exactly the same wang over all day but would not go with out priming pump till resistance felt if left for any period of time.
