maxell
The Royal Military Canal is a canal running 28 miles between Seabrook near Folkstone and Cliff End near Hastings, following the old cliff line bordering Romney Marsh. During the early stages of World War II, when German invasion was looking likely, the canal was fortified with concrete pillboxes. This second pillbox doesnt lie on on the canal but over looks it from the hills. I had to access some farmland for this one. And this was the view from the box!. And this last one is much the same as the first.
Pete
This bunch do a nice little handbook, which will help you to identify the various pillbox types & other stuff. Not a bad website either. http://www.pillbox-study-group.org.uk/
