w896andy
On the M5 heading south near Weston Super Mare a FC101 and sankey being driven and then a Diamond T wrecker and GMC on the back of a low-loader, no idea where they were going
w896andy
Was in Paris over the weekend, saw a convoy of around 40 mainly American Half-Tracks, GMC's, Dodges and Jeeps with some 'captured' German vehicles and some FFI trucks moving at a reasonable pace through the city. All with plenty of fully kitted out troops of many types including FFI, french police, etc. hanging off of every corner of each vehicle, looked great, must have been for the 70 anniversary of the liberation of Paris. Smithy
On Tuesday afternoon, 26th, spotted this: http://www.milweb.net/classifieds/large_image.php?ad=73558&cat=4 coming north on the M5 on-board one of Crouch's low-loaders around the Worcester area. Confused me a little with Booth's being located in Lancashire and Crouch's in Leicestershire I couldn't quite work out where it had been with it having been for sale recently. Then on the way home, Thursday 28th, spotted a modern APC on-board a low-loader which had seemed to suffer a blow out around Junction 4 of the M5.
