  1. Hey everyone, As I mentioned earlier I am going to be posting pictures of the show as things progress. I am posting these photos on my blog for easy view as there will be many of them over the next few days. You can take a look at them here http://www.mvpal.spaces.live.com Note: There is one part on my blog advetising my business. If this bothers you just disregard and enjoy the photos.
  2. Hi All, I am curious if anyone will be crossing the atlantic to come to the National MVPA Show in Portland this August? If there is anyone, we should have a meetup there. Dylan Blog http://www.mvpal.spaces.live.com
  3. THANKS! Thanks for all the welcome everyone. Hi N.O.S., No significance for my other than I was an Airborne Scout. I am looking for a C 130 that I can put as my avatar. On the same note there is lots to see in the way of WWII airpower around here. There is a great air museum 20 miles from here that has many events around the B17's and other planes. This August they are having B-25 Bomber days and will have an actual onsite. A friend of mine actually gets to go up for a ride!
  4. Hi All, I have actually introduced myself before right when the forum had something happen and I could not logg back in for some reason. This forum has been fun to follow and seems to have allot of great people involved so I thought I would introduce myself again since it has been sometime since my last post. I have been collecting and helping preserve military vehicles for the past 5 years with any spare time that I have. This is absolutely my true life passion and love. Recently I have found a way to become involved fulltime and I cant tell you how much fun it is to be able to play with war machines for a living:) In the meantime check out the 1942 WC51 Weapons Carrier I found in Los Barrilles Mexico:) See you all around. Dylan Stocker
  5. Welcome Pete, I am new as well and have really enjoyed the group. See you around. Dylan
  6. Thanks Joris! The people here are great so far. I am on other forums that are full of salty dogs and trolls. Speaking of fun, check out this video I made of our most recent shoot. We brought a 37mm towed cannon as well  It is a little long but fun to watch. The guy on the browning in the beginning is my dad. This year I plan on doing a few MV trials videos. My first attempt will be to take a loaded Mule into the back country and run it through all types of terrain. Dylan
  7. You can bet that I contact every owner unless it looks like I would get shot. You can see that the red GMC is taken from a ways away:) Check these that I helped find homes last year. This M 3-4 FLood light truck was fun to inspect and learn about. The person who owns it uses it for parade purpose only and has restored it in Washington state US. I learned allot helping a nice older lady who inherited this amazing 151 find a home in the Astoria Military Vehicle Museum in Oregon State US. (Where the movie Goonies was filmed :-D) This Dodge M-37 Command Truck was a nice find in my home town on main street (I dont go there often) and is getting restored now as we speak. I will get some pictures when I get a chance)
  8. I always take pics of any MV that I see when I travel. Here are pics of all the MV's from Boise Idaho to Jackson Montana last summer. The Chevy pictured is my favorite. It is actually acting as the winch that is hauling up that hay on the beaver slide. DOD 14 Nov 1940. Enjoy 1940 Chev
  9. This guy is having a blast this winter. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=16179121
  10. I must say Idaho is pretty awesome. We have one of the US's best mountain ranges with endless recreation. We have a sage desert in the south that has a few spots of dunes and some of the best ski hills and lakes around. Idaho's recreation and guns laws are very loose, which makes a great combo for people who love military vehicles and guns. Any most any citizen can own a machine gun for a 200.00 fee and you can drive you MV's around with a yellow/orange triangle slow moving sign without to much trouble. I hope to make it over there to see all the sites.
  11. My Father and his good friend and I all brought the following along with quite a few 1000 rounds  HK51 (My Favorite) Thompson Ak47 Ak74 MP40 8mm 1919 Browning 37mm towed anti tank gun. This February we are doing another shoot that will be a night time tracer shoot. We will have plastic pipes filled with propane for targets and two rounds of open fire. IAWCA (Idaho Automatic Weapons Collectors Association) does a bang up job. I would anyone to come visit and see the spectacle. Here are pics from last years shoot. 12. Thanks for the welcome. Hi John. I am from Boise Idaho. Has anyone ever been this way? Dylan
  13. Hi All, I am a fellow war machine enthusiast and came across this discussion group on Olive-drab.com and thought I would check it out. Every spare moment of my time is working with military vehicles in some way. I have allot of MV pics from places I have been and you can read my MV Journal. Feel free to use the comment feature on my blog. For some reason no one ever has. I have owned quite a few MV's as of late. Most recent is a M 2-4 and M 3-4. Then I picked up a really cool M-37 command truck. Currently I am messing with a near all original M274-A5. I have never owned one before and have to say it is the first I will keep forever. What a fun platform vehicle. They are all pictured in my blog as well. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you in the United States.
