Hi, I have looked in my copy of the book mentioned. All there is for LSU 304 is that it was with the bus companies Aldershot and District and then Alder Valley but nothing about subsequent owners. Its an interesting book is well worth buying if you haven't already got it. Regards Ross

Having visited the above museum last week I was surprised to see a very tidy example of one of Billy Smarts Mack's sitting outside the museum building. The motor museum is made up of mainly privately owned vehicles from the 1930's to the early 1990's on loan to the museum. Most of the vehicles are run of the mill cars but also include a couple of Bentley's and a rather nice Aston Martin Lagonda. Does anyone know the history of this Mack and also how many Mack's did Billy Smart's have? Regards Ross

Yes there is a couple of them restored or in the process of being restored. I have found the few photos I have of them. As well as being used a "Clubmobiles" they were also used as normal buses and as ambulances by the US Army. Ross
