  1. Just lifted off the top of the box, every bold and not undone without need of head or heavy tools. Got some lovely gearbox coal here, some bearings have been shimmed down over its life, but in general it's in amazing condition
  2. Thankyou, it is amazing that such an item has even survived yet alone being United with my truck, this helps to make it a true halley with some new parts rather than one that looks ok. I am curious to compare the original gear lever compared to what I made years ago from measuring off of a blown up photocopy drawing.
  3. This demonstrates the overall condition of the gears, they are in very good condition, only things needing attention is the bronze bushes as they are worn. I look forward to the stripdown and doing the restoration of this part
  4. Hello all, so its finally time to reveal my announcement. Today is an absolutely amazing day, after a very long time in working on this project a massive keystone and significant component has been obtained and delivered. Today I received a crate that contained something truly amazing, within the crate is a complete B35 transaxle gearbox, something I never thought I would find. Also with the gearbox was an original gear change lever and bracket from the cab and link rods A truly amazing find and very grateful of all the effort made to make this possible. So now the fun begins to rebuild the box and get it ready to fit into its rightful place.
  5. Gearbox body : 40" long x 30" wide on main casting. 56" wide over halfshafts and 47 long over input shaft Gearbox depth on main body 12" and 16" at diff cover. Hope this is of help
  6. Pulled the gearbox out and lifted the top off to get some photos of the internals.
  7. Hello everybody, as far as this project goes, It is quiet here on HMVF but big announcements to make in the near future.
  8. Hello all, I am just drumming up interest to see who is looking for an Albion A10 gearbox. I bought this a few years ago for my halley project, but after looking at making it fit my chassis it will need to many things changing. So i am going to put it up for sale to support the projects other needs. Photos of the box and more info will be posted to anyone enquiring.
  9. Hello all, sorry this is probably in the wrong group, but seamed the closest place to try and find info or help. I am currently restoring a swiss built FNW AX40 truck, I know there is one other in the uk and am trying to track it down, anyone know it's where abouts? Here is a photo of my truck, I am currently bringing it back to life, she runs, I have also now rebuilt the brakes and many other mechanical items to make it drivable, just need to get bodywork sorted now then fit inside.
  10. Made up some brackets tonight to get a buzz for finishing the back end, this fits in perfectly. Now to work out correct half shaft lengths and modify said items and half shaft tubes need bringing back to correct width to suit my chain centres. There is only four more holes in the rear of the chassis left, these are for the silencer. Dan
  11. Thankyou, I am sure hoping to push on with it, been too long and I now have all the key parts to press on.
  12. Happy new year, progress so far. Rear has been stripped down, rubbed back and repainted, also had to do an amount of woodwork to get things to my standard. Once the rear is finished, will move to the front of the truck including making a new cab and parts for engine. Let's see if I can finish this project this year all going well and funds permitting.
  13. Made up the second side lamp bracket and lengthened the other one as it didn't look right. Will need to figure out front lamp brackets next, but need to find out the mounting bracket centres on the large king of the road self generating lamps , i think a 10"lense
