  3. The Tank Museum brings the story of tanks and their crews to life. This October Half Term, experience the biggest day out in history with 100 years of history, 300 tanks, kids activities, and more at Dorset’s largest indoor attraction. Keep the kids entertained this October half-term with trails and quizzes, interactive games and exhibits, indoor and outdoor play areas, you can spend the whole day at The Tank Museum without getting bored. The Tank Museum is fully wheelchair accessible throughout, with free wheelchairs for hire available. As well as being close to Wool station, there is a large free carpark including coach, motorbike and disabled parking. There is an onsite restaurant and café serving a variety of hot meals, snacks, and drinks from Dorset and South West suppliers.   4. The Tank Museum is partnering with leading Dorset auction house Duke’s to present a new autumn militaria fair and auction on 6th November. The Museum will host an array of trade stalls, selling a range of military collectables and memorabilia, vintage uniforms and insignia, plus second-hand books and reproduction militaria for re-enactors. The highlight of the event is set to be the Duke’s Militaria and Medals auction, featuring 300 – 400 lots ranging from medals, militaria, arms, armour and even military vehicles.

  9. Enhance your Tank Museum visit with a British Army display PLUS local kids go free! Aside from TANKFEST, there are three opportunities to see the vehicles of the Royal Armoured Corps in action during 2020. The Display will be in the Kuwait Arena at 3:00pm and last approximately 45-60 minutes.
