The subject of German helmets is fraught with refurbed, repainted, relined and generally fake helmets.
The black one with the Swastika decal is completely repainted with fake decals applied in my opinion.
The SS helm mmmmmm ! aluminium was used during and post war and i have a nagging thought that those decals only ( i could be wrong !) only appeared on Transitional helmets ...WW1 shells
Those with combes were fire helmets and were lightweight with a crude M34 liner never issued to be used by the Wehrmacht.
Sorry just my take on what i see........ π
Hi,

An old friend of mine was cleaning/oiling his F&S fighting knife, door bell rang constantly, got up to answer it, returned sat on sofa knife blade went through thigh flesh (it had fallen between cushions) luckily no major veins severed π«.
well the pictured is titled Swiss roller, the chap on the left is smoking a very Germanic looking pipe π can you not get a clearer scan of the picture to be able to read the plate on the cab ?
Here is a picture of similar trailers (Canadian) though no date to picture, but the ones pictured earlier are the same as used by the council in the seventies π
Β Β Β I was reading through the trailer thread and saw you have a mortar trailer 75yk77Β did you ever track down its history ? and do you still have the trailer?Β
last year I collected one 75yk78 in good condition and will probably use till next winter before any restoration.
can RLC archives carry out a chassis number search to see if it has details on a key card ? this was Β£10.00 or have you all ready tried.
cheers
Ashley
