  1. Suprised we had time to win the war if you had to understand these instructions :undecided:
  2. Did 32 years in the fire service, worked for Suzuki setting up promotions at bike races around the country, also Proctor & Gamble doing all sorts of promtion work including dressing up in masot suits as a cat, dog, bear, baby and Mr Pringle, now work for a friend who owns a pub doing the maintenance, just refurbished the ladies and gents toilets, next job on the outside so waiting for the weather to improve.
  3. Going by these standards The Cockleshell Heroes, The Dam Busters, The raid on Dieppe, Sinking the Bismark and Operation Mincemeat would all together have shortened the war by 2 and a half years. Add a few more and the war would have finished before it started, which would have been nice.
  4. Hi, a couple of questions about registering a vehicle to be tax exempt. Does this club provide 'A verification letter from an approved club (MVT/IMPS) to prove the age' ? If so how does the system work ? If not, are you aware of any clubs that do ? Many thanks Stewart. '
  5. Hi Gary, thanks for that, I did see some for sale but it looked like they came without the strips, do thay come seperate ? I also fancy making some so Ive got a reason to go up my shed to get out of the house if you know what I mean
  6. Hi, I have a Mahindra Jeep Willys 'lookalike' jeep :embarrassed:. I would like to have a go at making some original looking windscreen rest blocks to fit on the bonnet. I have seen pictures that show that the blocks but not in great detail, I can see that they are made of wood and have worked out the approx sizes. However I have seen some having a canvas strip on the top and some a rubber strip. I dont mind which, however I would like some info as to how the strips are fitted into the block ?, are they available to buy seperatly ? any close up pictures would be a great help. Many thanks Stewart
  7. My contribution, Minnie. Sticker off ebay and a mate good with a brush.
  8. I was in the fire service for 30 years and attended many RTAs and only a small percentage were rollovers.
  9. I have just read another thread about seat belts in a MV truck and it has made me think, I currently have just lap belts in my jeep would like to upgrade to 3 point diagnal as I dont want to have a close up view of the steering boss or metal dashboard, I have seen a couple on ebay but I dont think they are long enough so I just wondered what others have fitted and where they got them, I suppose retracting ones would be nice but would settle for static if easier. Many regards Stew.
  10. I have just spent about 3 hours on the 419eater website, I have been reading all the reverse scams done back to the Nigerian spammers, I havent laughed so much for years. I can recommend, but beware you could become addicted.Look at the letters section, brilliant.:-D
  11. Why do Pringles say "once you pop you just cant stop" and supply a re-usable lid ?
  12. I have just obtained a US jerry can spout and wondered how/where it was stored or fixed on the jeep. :undecided:
  13. I was pleased when my wife said she was 'pleased that Minnie the Jeep was kept in the garage' only to complete the sentence with ' she is really handy to climb onto to reach the fuse box when the iron trips out' :-(
  14. When my moms wedding was described in the local paper, the term 'nigger brown' was used to denote the colour of her going away outfit. I am also sure I remember a tin of shoe polish with the same colour. I must be very old
