  1. My Autocar U 7144 has chassinr A11878, but date of delivery and the registration number is missing. Has anybody made a list of ch nr, dod and reg nr on known vehicles? Would be good to compare with. //Mats
  2. My Autocar is now running, but I discovered that the speedometer does´nt work. After some detective work, I found out that there should be an adapter between the speedometergear and the cable, se picture. Anybody that has an extra adapter? Regards Mats
  3. Hi Pierre, I mean the blackout marker lamps. Please see the picture I found on your blogg. I will mail you a list tomorrow. Regards Mats Autocar blackoutlamp.pdf
  4. Hi Pierre, Thank you for your answer. 3/ I found the pictures. Great! 4/ I was thinking of the small blackoutlamps in the grille. What I can se from photos, it looks just like a piece of flat iron, but I would need some measurements to make them. Do you have any extra parts for sale? If so, can I mail you a "wish-list"? Regards Mats
  5. Hello Pierre, I have read about your beautiful truck in CMV, and on your blogg. Can you help me with some of my Autocar wonderings? Should there be a moulding between the body and front fender? Is the headlights the same as GMC, Diamond T etc? They look the same but the partnr is different... How does the insulation on the inside of the hood look? How does the bracket for the blackoutlamps look? Regards Mats
  6. Hi Trevor, The trailer is unfortunately empty inside the storage locker. //Mats
  7. Hi Goran, Yes, that´s the one. It is Lars-Erik Petersson sitting at the steeringwheel on the second picture. He delivered it to me in spring 2013, and we unloaded it 1km from where I live. So I towed it home with my Diamond T, Lars-Erik steering the Autocar. //Mats
  8. Hi, This truck and trailer was used by the Swedish Airforce between 1947 and 1960. I bought it in 2013 in this condition from a man that restored it 20 years ago, but never finished it. So I started the restored engine for the first time on december 31. It run nicely, but the radiator was leaking. So now I have removed the radiator, had it repaired, and is now working with the front sheet metal. I am not satisfied with the bodywork and details. One problem with finishing what somebody else started, is that I don`t know how everything originally was put together. Therefore I would like to get in contact with other Autocar owners that could help me with questions like: Should there be a moulding between the body and front fender? Is the headlights the same as GMC, Diamond T etc? They look the same but the partnr is different... How does the insulation on the inside of the hood look? How does the bracket for the blackoutlamps look? Regards Mats
  9. It worked! :-) Tomorrow (hopefully) I will start a new Autocar tread with some pictures and questions. What sub-forum do you recommend me to use? //Mats
  10. Thank you for your warm welcome! It has been a busy week, but now I will try to attach some pictures. Regards Mats
