Hi Andy did you buy the closed cab Diamond T from the sale at Melksham?

No I haven't found any other markings other than "caterpillar tractor" in very small on the rear

Yes I understand the markings are post war, the Caterpillar wasn't built till 1954. I think you are correct with Dutch army, does anyone have any further info? Cheers

Hi all, I'm currently restoring my1954 Caterpillar D4 7J and have found its original markings on the back of the fuel tank. Can anyone out there tell me what they are?? There is also this data plate on it?

Yes I would defiantly attend an Anniversary Gathering in my 981 photo was taken on last years trip to Holland -
Thought some people might be interested to see a few photos of my Diamond as it's been off the road for the last couple of years while I did the engine!

Hi Adrian, The radio controled Diamond T on you tube is my friends. Its 1/6 scale he also has a 1/6 scale Cromwell tank and is going to build the Rogers when the Diamond is finished. I'll get some up to date photos off him and post them soon.

Tony, Thanks very much for posting the photos for me. Dennis Robberts did tell me you were the previous owner. I was also told you saw the Diamond at S.E.Davis's show but i didn't meet you. Thanks again Andy Purshall

Hi Richard, yes it is the Malvern Hills in the back ground. The photos were taken at Welland Steam Rally. Here are some pics of my 969.
