  1. Gents- Is there any photo evidence the wood on these was varnished instead of painted same as the metal? My very expensive ash was delivered tonight and I am having a difficult time with the thought of painting this beautiful wood! Paul
  2. Gents, I am in need of a few parts, hoping someone had some made up and you have some spares? 2x brake drum retaining screws 1x lug Can anyone help? Paul otherwise the restoration is moving along nicely!
  3. This trailer belonged to Louis Blonk who sold it to another guy who then sold to me. Louis and I are in the same British Field Kitchen group and he's a member of this forum as well. Restoration rear down started in earnest today!
  4. Thank you. I had reached out to Rob some time ago to buy that one and got no reply. I agree on the later. So R.L. Is Reliant and the contract # matches.
  5. I would be very interested in any assistance available in verifying the manufacturer or help interpolating the WD X number from the Contract and chassis number?
  6. Mine once upon a time, used to belong to Louis. You can see a couple pics before it changed hands and before damaged in shipping a few pages up. Is does have a bracket for the axle lamp and a later added rather unique and cool tail light system.
  7. I've just read all 38 pages of this thread. Wow. Lots of information and some fantastic trailers. I am now restoring my new GS, after the shipping company had a go at it. Is there a consensus on the location of the convoy light switch? I don't see any bolt holes or brackets or signs thereof. I have some spare brackets as used on lightweight trailers but don't see any mounting points? i believe this is a Reynolds Trailer(?) can anyone shed any light or have any further information ?
  8. I've discovered the green and 6 white cups are not for tea but part of the testing equipment as seen here. QOR Canada pic.
  9. Here is my existing pump. It looks similar to what some others have used and close to one used post war. It was army green under the red paint.
  10. Gents, here is my most recent project. A 100gal water trailer. Unfortunately, it is missing a few pieces that I would like to source... I am in need of the inner lid and a tow hitch most urgently. I have found a pump to use even if only until a better comes along. I am in contact with a company to make external accurate repro filters (MF901). Is this of interest to anyone? Lastly, is anyone confident of the set up for the tail light and convoy light set up? And, are there any photos of these in action? Best Regards! Paul
  11. Hi Paul Schipper here. Long time collector of WW2 British Militaria and Vehicles. Currently restoring a 1944 T-16 Carrier and a 100 gallon Airborne Water Bowser. In dire need of a Meta filter if anyone has a spare. Best Regards, Paul
