  1. Can any body suggest/inform of the best way to treat a lorry canvas to reverbish it?
  2. That says it all "Bedford MJ Top sheet wanted"
  3. Do you still have any MJ top sheets?
  4. Try putting some soluble oil in the rad as recommended in manual, it stopped mine from dripping
  5. Do I understand that you built a rear body for a RL! if so do you have any drawings i could build one from as well?
  6. I Have no idear. the Bedford winch is mid mounted andhas a 7 ton rating as far as i know.
  7. Hi Does anyone have any drawing or pictures of a turner winch for a Bedford RL I think mine is broken. So if i could get a good look at its workings before a rip it out, that would be handy.
  8. Thought it was time for an update. Well the rot is in, well in. Decited to take the roof top box and walkway off, and did not like what i found. dramatic surgery to the roof and a full strip down inside, well if you are going to do a job you might as well go mad. All i can say is they used a really nasty fibreglass insulation. fortunately my side kick is ex army and went to task in a paper onesie in the baking summer heat, job done. Then a big tin opener, snips, rivet gun and mig welder all toped of with some fiberglass resin and mat to seal and done job nice and water tight.

  11. This is my first restoration project, well in for a penny in for a pound . I believe i found what it is, its army vrn 50FG50 please let me know if you know more. The big question i will ask is "how rare are these" so do i do a full restoration or a sympathetic conversion to rally support vehicle. Any info will be much appreciated. Simon
  12. Hi I'm Simon but Wingy is good. I am a mechanical engineer specializing in the manufacture of component parts in Brandon Suffolk. So if you been a replacement widget feel free to ask but please don't expect it for a fiver, and I do not sharpen lawnmower blades! Well why am I here, well I have just started my military collection totally unplanned but not without a long history of longing. I was actually looking for a 125cc motorcycle for a run around and found an ex French military Cagiva W8 nothing old 1994 but needing work and then registration. Whilst I was drifting around in EBay wonderland I found a military command trailer and well I'm am sure you know the rest, big project lots of rust and no tractor unit ( looking for Bedford mj). What I do need is information about this unit and advice. So when my lap top decides to boot up I will post some pics and divulge what little I know and fall before your collective wisdoms. Many thanks Wingy
